Hydrocodone-Drug-FactsDrug-Rehab

Hydrocodone-Drug-Facts Hydrocodone or dihydrocodeinone is a semi-synthetic opioid derived from two of the naturally occurring opiates, codeine and thebaine.
Semantically, OPIATES are compounds present in the OPIUM POPPY (Papaver Somniferum) extracted and refine. OPIOIDS are synthetic or semi-synthetic compounds which have similar chemical or pharmacological effects. So morphine is an opiate, because it is a compound present in the opium poppy. Diamorphine is an opioid, as it is a semi-synthetic compound derived from morphine; methadone is an opioid and is wholly synthetic. The term opiates and opioids are often used interchangeably.
Hydrocodone is a narcotic often found in prescription medicines. Pain relievers that include Hydrocodone are regularly prescribed for a variety of issues. The wide availability of the drug is largely to blame for the rise in cases of addiction. Hydrocodone has effects similar to those of drugs such as Heroin and Morphine. These effects include drowsiness, relaxation, and euphoria. The signs that someone has developed a Hydrocodone addiction are not always easy to spot but there are things to watch out for. Users often become involved with the drug due to depression or because an aliment has forced them to be prescribed the drug for long periods of time. Common signs to look out for include a loss of motivation, an inability to stay awake, frequent nausea or vomiting, unusual mood changes, and poor health. Overcoming the addiction can be a difficult and long process but is possible.
